Person Centered Practices

One of the Five Principles of Community Living is that services and supports should be tailored and flexible in order to meet the needs of the people we support.  These web sites will provide you with a wealth of information and experience in utilizing person centered practices for the people you support.

    • CIRCL - Connections for Information and Resources on Community Living’s (CIRCL) mission is to create opportunities for building and sharing individual, organizational and community strengths in supported living.
    • Helen Sanderson Associates - Helen Sanderson Associates is a development training and consultancy team. We work with people to change their lives, organisations and communities through person centred thinking and planning. We have HSA teams in the UK, Australia, Canada and America.
    • The Learning Community - The Learning Community for Person Centered Practices envisions a world where all people have positive control over the lives they have chosen for themselves. Our efforts focus on people who have lost or may lose positive control because of society's response to the presence of a disability. This site helps us foster a global learning community that shares knowledge for that purpose. All are welcome here to share and learn.
